Analysis of Features of Foreign Trade of Border Subjects of Russia

Abstract

Forms of external trade of Russia's border regions were investigated and the value of trade in the economics of different types of territories was estimated. Authors established that border areas of the Russian Federation carry out external trade at local and regional level. Border trade with east neighbors of the Russian Federation is organized in special zones. In the European direction when importing goods within partnership programmes the customs duty shouldn't be paid. The second studied form was a foreign trade at the regional level. Trade dependence, the normalized trade balance, import penetration and Non Oil trade balance indexes were calculated. Foreign trade is the main source of budget revenues for the border regions, it directly defines the level of gross regional product nevertheless its relative volumes in these territories are lower than average for the country.
