The migration policy of Russia: on a way to a work common market on the post_Soviet territory

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the issues concerning formation of common labor market in the CIS countries. History of development of migration flows in the countries of Community is investigated in detail, and analysis of the appeared social, demographic and political problems is provided. The author highly appreciates new migration legislation, adopted in Russia, considering that it allows to provide conditions for saturation of Russian labor market with the legal foreign labour power. Both the main advantages, and the reasons that impede realization of new legislation, are analyzed in detail. The author considered the development of the legal, institutional and informational infrastructure of migration as a tool targeted to provide the most effective functioning of Russian labour market.
