Concept and signs of the traditional state

Abstract

The concepts and attributes of the traditional state are analyzed in the article. Well grounded and utmost general definition of the term is given. Traditional state functions and specificity of power are investigated in detail. The author provides expand analysis of the main similarities and differences between modern and traditional states. Analysis results in the general conclusion, which states that the main feature of the modern state is its public nature, when the traditional states are founded on the individual (property) right. Common feature for both traditional, and modern states, from the author's point of view, is authority power. It is stated in the article that for the more deep understanding of the quality differences between traditional and modern types of statehood it is necessary to apply to the philosophical understanding of the statehood category itself.
