Abstract

The author analyzes the legal prerequisites of modernization of the agrarian society in Russia as an example of the corona (state) sector of the Russian land tenure, in order to further evaluate the many aspects of the global peasant reform of 1861-1866 and its consequences for the legal development of Russia.
