Abstract

In the article multifunctionality as the major principle inherited by the regional organizations from the League of Nations and defining tendencies of their modern development is investigated. The author comes to a conclusion that after crisis of multifunctionality lasting from the 1960th, the regional organizations of XXI century all more gravitate toward an integration and safety combination, in some cases coming to creation of political association.
