This article deals with problems of application of alternative methods of maritime disputes resolution; the claim order of international maritime disputes and the maritime mediation are analyzed; the application of maritime mediation in foreign states is analyzed; prospects of mediation in the maritime disputes resolution in the Russian Federation are evaluated.
