Abstract

In the article the problem situation of development of city agglomeration of St. Petersburg is characterized. The conclusion that development of city agglomeration of St. Petersburg has to take place on a system basis taking into account the principles of a polycentrism, and also cluster development in the branches of a national economy traditional for St. Petersburg is made. Such branches, first of all are: shipbuilding, defense industry complex, education, science, farma industry.
