The Local Administration Elections during the Period of the Bourgeois Reforms of Alexander II

Abstract

The article deals with the different aspects of the formation of the all-estates bodies of the local administration in the Russian Empire during the second half of the XIX century. The author analyses the main laws and official documents, on which the formation of the “zemstv ” and municupal councils was based, and questions, connected with the process of elections.
