Abstract

In the article the demographic situation in Russia is defined as a crisis. The main attention is paid to the problems of pre-school, basic school, secondary vocational and higher education, due to the processes of natural reproduction and migration. The article highlighted problems of the state education system in rural areas, which are caused by the current demographic situation and presented measures to address them, proposed «the concept of sustainable development of rural territories of the Russian Federation for the period till 2020».
