Abstract

Interest in the Far East policy, in Asian culture of Alexander III was awakened by his godson - P. A. Badmayev, then it began to attract Nicholas II and his environment, a so-called “bezobrazov clique”. The Minister of Finance Yu. S. Witte tried to resist to adventurous policy in the Far East, but in upholding of the state interests has been accused by contemporaries in creation of Witte republic.
