Abstract

In this article relate to two major events that changed the European and Russian history of the 20th century - The First World War and Russian-Japanese War. While not considered the specific facts, but opened wider cultural meaning of these events, which is designated as a «crisis of humanistic culture» and the first symptoms of a «clash of civilizations»
