On formation and functioning of election committees of municipal entities of Russian Federation

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the actual issue, connected with the activity of the election committees in Russian Federation. General conditions and forms of control for formation and functioning of such committees are considered, tendencies that are negatively influencing on their activity are traced. At the end of the article the author formulates proposals, which realization will raise level of participation of representatives of civil society in election process, and consequently, will promote development of democratic legal principles of formation of local government election organs.
