M. M. Speransky and educational reforms at the beginning of XIX century

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the development of approaches suggested by the great Russian reformer count Mikhail Mikhailovich Speransky to the problems of public upbringing and education. The essence of the new educational system created by Speransky and suggested as an educational reform, is described. The author notes that the reforms, which had already been performed changed the country in a short time: long-expected blossom of culture and science occurred at the end of 1830-s. The role of M. M. Speransky is invaluable in the changes that had come about in the country.
