Abstract

In the article activity of I. S. Derzhavin, the second in the history of military and spiritual board of Russia an ober-priest of army and fleet is stated. The author analyzes I. S. Derzhavin's role in reforming of system of training of priests for Armed forces of the Russian Empire and a vicarial contribution of father Ioann to a spiritual direction of soldiers.
