The Role of the State Information Policy in Social and Economic Stabilization of the North Caucasus

Abstract

In the article the role of information policy of the state in formation of ideological postulates and outlooks of the population with pronounced ethnonational lines is considered. In the materials of the article the existing provision of mass media in the region of the North Caucasus is analyzed, influence of the most demanded information channels and their activity taking into account characteristic for the region ethnocultural and natural economic factors is described. In the article examples of strengthening of the importance of information impact on a political position of representatives of the people of the North Caucasus during the periods of an aggravation of extremism in the region are given. Need and urgency of acceptance by the federal center of measures for forming of active and system information policy in the territory of North Caucasus federal district is shown.
