Assessment of Tendencies of Economic Differentiation of Regions of Northwest and Central Federal Districts

Abstract

Тhe article contains a quantitative analysis of the differentiation of regional economic activity, to compare quantitative indicators and trends of regional differentiation in the Central and North-Western Federal districts of the Russian Federation. Analytical basis of our findings is the calculation of the index series differentiation according to Central and North-Western Federal districts, such as the Gini coefficient, Ajzard a index, Thei l inde x an d th e inde x o f the entropic Allison-Glaeser. The use of multiple indicators of differentiation allows you to increase the degree of accuracy of the reported findings, reduce dependence results from the specific characteristics of a measure of economic differentiation.
