Water Trade Artels of the European North of Russia: on a Problem of State Regulation of Self-organizing Communities (the middle of XIX - the beginning of the XX century)

Abstract

The governmental policy in the field of regulation of Russian North region's production (water industrial farms) artels in the conditions of development of capitalist relations of the post-reform period is analyzed. The study shows that the specifics of state control in this sphere has been the incorporation of norms of customary law relations and traditional forms of self-organization of labor activity in the practice of economic development of the country.
