Evangelic-Lutheran Churches as the Centers of Spiritual and Cultural Life of the German Diaspora in Saint-Petersburg

Abstract

Article devoted to history of German Evangelic-Lutheran churches in St. Petersburg which became the spiritual, social and religious centers for the most numerous ethnos from all of ethnic minorities represented in the pre-revolutionary capital. Author uses the material of funds of The Russian State historic archives and The Central historical archives of St. Petersburg, most of them are introduced to scientific circulation for the firs t time.
