Abstract

The article is devoted to modern economic development of the Russian Federation, its trends and characteristics. The author analyses the reasons for the export-oriented policy of the Russian government and the ways of its improvement. Special attention, in the authors opinion, should be given to the creation of strategic alliances with the Eastern partners and the creation of a Eurasian economic Union.
